Bunch of newspaper write-up, blogs, twit talks shout about women’s freedom and empowerment, their role in the family, society and development. Women are out there in all the fields and domains (heard, Indian air force has a proposal wired to employ women cadres to fly fighter flights in coming years.)

Women are seen in parliament, pubs, auto’s (in driver seat), as butlers and butchers, even as murderers and con artists where once (may be a couple of decades before) only men took position. Most of the software companies have an equal ratio of men is to women.

Women have got the freedom to live with any human being (male or female) who they like to be with, without the prominence of attributes like caste, religion, region, and sex taking high stake.

Women enjoy the freedom of good lifestyle than men (huh!! What men can wear other than shirts and trousers ,women have a whole junk of dresses, shirts, skirts, pants ,trousers ,midis, perfume ,head to toe make up and more..)

But, why women are not like men, they still talk about women independence and freedom, while men don’t even think about. Why is that in almost all the houses women goes to job as well cooks and cleans, while her husband does work selectively. Why homemakers are not given salary by her husband? If given for each of the errand she does, the husband will have to pay more than what he earns, isn’t.???

Anyway I know the answer, women will be men only when

a) Men deliver

else

b) Women stops delivering.

That is the beginning of the loop.

The Pomodoro Technique-for research writing

Is there any method you need to undergo to write a technical paper or an article within a stipulated time ,without interference or deviation of the topic r your scope of writing.

The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. The technique uses a timer to break down periods of work into 25-minute intervals called 'pomodori' (from the Italian word for 'tomato') separated by breaks. Closely related to concepts such as timeboxing and iterative and incremental development used in software design, the method has been adopted in pair programming contexts. The method is based on the idea that frequent breaks can improve mental agility.

There are five basic steps to implementing the technique:

decide on the task to be done

set the pomodoro (cellphone timer) to 25 minutes

work on the task until the timer rings; record with an x

take a short break (5 minutes)

every four "pomodori" take a longer break (15–20 minutes)

I always use to ask ,why is PhD not a course in an university.with the I semester and II for course work .III for analysis and review paper writing and the fourth coming semesters for thesis paper writing .the problem with the slow process of most Indian doctoral degrees is lack of deadlines .

Get Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 on a DVD

Microsoft released Service Pack 1 (SP1) for Windows 7 earlier this year and it includes several security and performance related enhancements for Windows 7 all rolled into a single installer.

The easiest and quickest way to install this service pack on your Windows 7 computer is using Windows Update. However, if you have two more more computers running Windows 7, you may download the standalone SP1 installer from microsoft.com and apply it to all your computers even in offline mode.

There’s a third option as well. You may order Windows 7 SP1 on a DVD and Microsoft will deliver it to you via snail mail. They won’t charge anything for the media but you’ll still have to pay shipping charges that vary depending on your country. Why the New Opera is Perfect for Slow Connections

One of the best features of Opera is the built-in Turbo mode that lets you browse the web faster even on slow connections. The feature can also help you save money when you are on a metered Internet connection, like that hotel room, where you have to pay per byte.

Let me explain. When you request a web page - say time.com - your browser will connect directly to the time.com servers to download all the images, text, and other associated files. However, in the case of Opera Turbo, the same request is routed to Opera servers – the web page is downloaded on Opera servers first, it is then compressed and served to you.

The content and layout of the page doesn’t change after compression though the quality of images is often reduced. But since your browser now has to download lesser number of bytes for the same web page, it will load a lot faster on your computer.

Opera Turbo with Google's WebP

The Turbo mode has been part of Opera since version 10 but with the new 11.1 release, that’s due today, Opera servers are now using Google’s WebP image format, instead of JPEG, to compress images. As a result, the byte size of the compressed images is reduced even further without much degradation in the visual quality.

I ran a quick test comparing the size of these photographs as served through regular Opera, Opera Turbo (JPG) and new Opera Turbo with WebP based compression. See results:

The quality of compressed images is quite acceptable. In some cases the images compressed with WebP look better (or smoother) than the ones that have been compressed using JPEG.

And when every byte matters, the savings are obviously huge with Opera 11.1. The other innovative feature of Opera is Unite that turns your computer into a server with a click.

Send Pictures from the Digital Camera Straight to your Phone with Eye-Fi

Eye-Fi memory cards let you wirelessly transfer pictures from the digital camera to your computer without cables. They are compatible with most digital cameras and, other than transferring pictures to the computer, Eye-Fi cards can also upload photos to sites like Flickr and Facebook straight from the camera.

There’s one limitation though. Eye-Fi memory cards use Wi-Fi to transfer photos from the camera to the computer and thus your camera needs to be within the range of a wireless network for you to push the image files out of the camera.

If that is holding you from getting an Eye-Fi card, here’s some related news that might interest you. Eye-Fi cards now let you upload photos and videos from the camera straight to your mobile phone without requiring a wireless network.
