Waiting for the Real Budget

The six-day budget session of Indian Parliament will begin on July 2,2009.

The economic survey report would be tabled in Parliament on the opening day.

On July 3,2009- The Railway budget.

Theme: Maintaining a balance between the commercial and human face of the railways.

July 6,2009-The general budget on, a day before the budget session concludes.

Theme: The Issues and concerns about the economy, especially with regard to the sectors which were hit badly by the global financial crisis.

The government will have to get the budget passed by July 31, the date when the vote on account approved by Parliament allowing government to withdraw money from the Consolidated Fund of India expires.
